FAQs

Wilmek Construction serves both the residential and commercial industry providing custom build services to fit the vision of our clients. Our objective is to provide a clear understanding of our building process therefore we are presenting you a list of the most frequently asked questions.

Do you work with a realtor to help me find the lot for my home?

Yes, Wilmek Construction has a real estate division and one of our realtors will love to help you find and purchase your land.

I purchased a lot, but I do not have a floor plan, do you have any floor plans?

Yes, Wilmek Construction has dedicated a page in our website for floor plans for our clients to choose from.

I have collected ideas from the internet to build the home of my dreams, can you help me bring all these ideas into a design?

Yes, custom projects are our specialty. We start with a design and engineering consultation where we bring all ideas, pictures, features, drawings, home style and we begin the custom design process of the home of your dreams.

Do I need to contact any sub-contractor for my project?

No, Wilmek construction takes full charge and control of the whole construction project, from design to build.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Wilmek Construction is a fully licensed and insured general contracting company in the state of Florida. Our General Contractor License is GCC1526285 our Residential Contractor License is CRC1328921.

Whether you decide to build with us or not we encourage all customers to build with a license contractor. In order to obtain a construction license in Florida, the contractor must demonstrate knowledge and experience in the area for certification, demonstrate good moral character, demonstrate good credit and pass a test on the technical aspects of construction, laws and rules and business practices.  In many instances the contractor will have a construction related degree or 4+ years of experience.

Many claim to be licensed but are not. We have experience working with clients that have hired unlicensed and uninsured contractors for their projects and have lost large amount of money to these individuals, their projects were left incomplete with improper and unsafe construction and county legal issues. To avoid these issues, you should ask the contractor for their license and insurance and contact your local city or county development building department. You can also do a state search on DBPR.org to confirm.
